Admissions Requirements

Applicants to Southern Careers Institute must be at least 17 years of age, and those under the age of 18 must have written permission from a parent or legal guardian in order to enroll.

Applicants must have either a high school diploma or GED or have passed an ability-to-benefit test, which is available for applicants to take at SCI. Those applying to the Pharmacy Technician program must have either a high school diploma or a GED and cannot have a felony conviction.

All applicants must be able to read, write, speak and understand English, be physically able to complete the coursework, and be employable in the career for which they are being trained.

All applicants who meet these criteria are eligible.
