Medical Assistant

Program Mission: To prepare the graduate with the knowledge, skills and abilities essential for performing the duties that are required in a medical office or facility and to gain and maintain a position with professional status and responsibility.

Southern Careers Institute's Medical Assistant program is designed to teach students medical front office and back office duties, computer applications, office procedures, business communication skills, job readiness techniques, and the personal development skills essential for a successful career. Graduates should be able to perform the duties of a Medical Assistant and may look forward to employment in doctors' offices, hospitals, emergency care offices, clinics and other offices in a medical environment.
