Medical Office Specialist
Program Mission: To prepare the graduate with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform all the duties that are required of a Medical Office Specialist in an office environment and to obtain and maintain a position with professional status and responsibilities.
The Medical Office Specialist program at Southern Careers Institute is designed to teach students medical office duties, computer applications, office procedures, business communication skills, job readiness techniques, and personal development skills. Graduates should be able to perform the duties of a Medical Office Specialist and may obtain employment as medical front office specialists, administrative assistants or secretaries, general typists, word processors, office assistants, or other clerical office positions, particularly in a medical setting.
